Abstract artist, Lisa McCausland, is steadily gaining
recognition for her bold, distinctive paintings.
She works mostly on canvas, frequently starting
with a mixed media, lightweight substance, which
is layered to achieve texture and depth. She
then applies acrylics or oils, and sometimes
both, to this surface, depending on the desired
effect.
Another technique Lisa employs is action painting,
as portrayed in her contemplative drip art.
Her art is fluid, applying the principle of
expressionism to abstract painting. Lisa does
not wish to influence how her art is interpreted,
but believes that art should
be enjoyed, like music for the eyes. |
